Privacy
What I do with the details and photos you send me, in plain words.
Who I am
I'm Nicolly, a self-employed tattoo artist in Manchester. I look after the details you send me through this site. If you have any question about them, email me at bookings@nicollytattoo.com.
What I collect
Only what you choose to send me in the quote form:
- your name, WhatsApp number and email;
- your idea, the placement, size and skin tone, and your preferred month;
- photos: references or your pet;
- anything about your health you decide to tell me.
While you fill it in, the form saves your answers in your own browser so you don't lose them. They stay on your device.
Cookies
I ask before setting any tracking cookies, and nothing loads unless you tap Accept. On every page that means Microsoft Clarity, which shows me how the site is used, with anything you type hidden. On the pages my Facebook and Instagram ads link to, the Meta Pixel loads too: it shows me which ads bring people to me and when someone sends a quote request. Say no and neither loads. Across the whole site I also count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you. If you arrive from an ad, the ad's name travels with your request so I know which one worked.
Why I use it
To reply with your quote and my available dates, to prepare your design and to arrange your session. I only use health details to keep you safe, and only because you chose to share them. I never sell your details. Now and then I may email you about my work, such as asking how your tattoo healed or for a review, unless you switched that off in the form. Every one of those emails has a link to stop them.
Where it goes
When you send the form, your photos go to private storage and come to me as email attachments. They are deleted from that storage as soon as the email is sent. The site runs on Vercel and the emails are sent through Resend; they handle your details only to deliver them to me.
How long I keep it
- An enquiry that doesn't turn into a booking, and its photos: deleted 6 months after we last spoke.
- Once you've had a tattoo with me: your consent form and the record of your session, 6 years after your last session, in case of any question about your tattoo later.
- Payments and deposits: 6 years, as HMRC requires.
- The occasional emails about my work stop 2 years after we last spoke.
Ask me any time and I'll delete what I don't have to keep: just email me at bookings@nicollytattoo.com.
Photos of your tattoo
I love sharing finished work on Instagram and on this site. I only do it with the permission you give in the consent form you sign before your session, and if you'd like a photo taken down, tell me and I'll remove it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details I hold about you, to correct them or to have them deleted. If you're unhappy with how I've handled them, please tell me first; you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
